Facebook was initially started so that people could stay in touch with their friends and find out what they are up to. But now, it is used for spreading information and this information can be wrong. Millions of people are connected to Facebook and they might get wrong information. It can get more serious than hoaxes too. Social networking sites are a menace for some and there are governments blocking these sites when there is an emergency. This happened in Egypt when the public unity was so huge that the government had to shut down internet in order to ensure some stability.
