You can blame the movies for a lot of misconceptions about vampires. All you have to do is take a look at the Twilight series to know that Hollywood doesn’t really care much about getting the details right when it comes to the history and mythology of vampires. Some “creative liberties”, however, don’t sparkle in the sunshine like the other obvious errors.
