Today, Burger King's staking its claim to the title of "World's Most Batshit Crazy Food Engineer," kicking off a national TV ad campaign for its new BK Stuffed Steakhouse Burger, sporting a patty peppered with gooey cheese explosions and jalapeño bits.
It's just one more step down the trail first blazed by Pizza Hut's stuffed crust pizza, one step beyond Denny's cheese-stuffed-cheese Fried Cheese Melt. This time, they stuffed the meat instead.
There's no sense in trying to fight this stuff. It's here to stay, and as Taco Bell has proven time and again, there's always room for another layer of the same old (delicious!) crap wrapped in another tortilla.
Better instead to anticipate the next evolution -- which is why we've tried our hand at guessing where the next generation of the BK Stuffed foods family is headed.

Our money's on Taco Bell pulling it off, with something like this Crunchwrap Supreme topped with a double-decker taco, a gordita and a Mexican Pizza. Turns out, this one's not even so tough to make on your own.
